Gloucestershire Academy of Music String Zone is open on a Monday evening and offers tuition at Intermediate, Senior and Advanced levels. Taught by the best string teachers in the county, who are all profesional performers themselves, with guest teachers including the Carducci Quartet.
Senior Strings: grades 5—7
Advanced Strings: grades 8+
Recent performances have included
performance with the Carducci Quartet, Pitville Pump Room and Cheltenham Town Hall
performance with the Astaria Quartet, Worcestershire Cathedral
performance at the Three Choirs Festival
performance with European Chamber Orchestra, Stroud Subrooms
Many students have continued their music studies at national music colleges and universities. These include Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Royal Northern College of Music, Trinity Laban, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire as well as Oxbridge and Russell Group Universities.

No audition is required however students are welcome to attend for a trial session before joining. New students are welcome at any time during the year.
